Plumbing Fixtures That Conserve Resources

Low flow faucets and showerheads reduce the volume of water flow by adding air or compressed air to the water.  This creates a high velocity spray that seems like more water is coming out of the fixture.  They can save as much as 50% of the hot water consumption in showers in an average home.

The Federal Energy Policy Act of 1992 requires that all faucet fixtures manufactured in the United States restrict maximum water flow at or below 2.5 gallons per minute (gpm) at 80 pounds per square inch (psi) of water pressure or 2.2 gpm at 60 psi. This ensures that most faucet products available will offer at least minimal water efficiency benefits. [1]

With high efficiency showerheads and faucets, 7,800 gallons of water can be saved in single year.

Some showerheads come with light therapy like this one on the left.

Only one system can be selected to be used at a time.
